September went by quite quickly. We celebrated Tom's second birthday with a cosy gathering and Tom got his plane cake (I only realised after looking at pics that his 1st birthday and christening cakes are the same colour as his 2nd birthday cake!!! Mental note to make sure next year I use a different colour.
I think S&J did enjoy their trip over to see us but they could have done without the final three days of bug attack. But they managed Xian to see the terracotta warriors, forbidden city, summer palace, a stay at the Raffles Beijing and of course the great wall.
The weather is thankfully not as cold as that in the UK but we are starting to feel the dryness and electricity shocks between me and Tom are becoming far too frequent for my liking. Note: the humidifier in the apartment doesn't seem to do it's job properly though my husband had predicted this fault blaming the price - but hey! when in china try to buy cheap right?....perhaps not...perhaps we need two units...
