Copenhagen

Finally some time to update. Thought I should start with our visit to Juliet and Per in Copenhagen in Feb. Tom and I arrived on 1st Feb in the evening and Per kindly came and picked us up from the airport as Liet was working in another part of town. We were treated to delicious seafood paella ala Per for dinner - home cooked meal always a treat!

The next day Liet took us to a zoo (Zoologisk Have) nearby and then to the city centre. Felt safe and unintimidated in Copenhagen. Lots of people on bicycles some with attached carriages in which their children sit or just carts. I couldn't believe how family friendly all the services were. Buses and underground all catered for strollers - it was easy to move around.

Then we had blue skies for Saturday which was just as well as it was a sightseeing day. Went to the city centre again where we enjoyed the architecture including the palace, strolled along the famous harbour in Nyhavn, and of course visited Den Lille Havfrue - the Little Mermaid. Per toned down my expectations for this maiden but I was still impressed all the same.
After breakfast on Sunday, Per and Liet took us to the airport and off we went back to Wells. A very enjoyable trip and glad to have finally made it to see the both there. Hope Per has found all the rubberbands which Tom has been hiding in various places in their apartment! Thanks you two for a wonderful time. Still owe you dinner....!
